Resuming My Creative Journey: Again.

Hello, creative friends!

It feels like forever since I last shared my thoughts and creative inspirations with you all. Life has been a bit crazy.

If you follow my Instagram and Facebook pages, you know that I haven’t stopped “arting”. I’ve been busy “finding my style.” It’s hard to pin down a cohesive style when you just want to try everything. I feel I’m getting closer to the things I love to paint and create. I would just like to say, go easy on your favorite artist. It’s so hard to focus and nail down a consistant creative style when you add the pressure of creating a living as well. It crushes the vibe and renders you usless on the canvas at times, adding time to the process. While I know WHAT I want to paint, I also have to learn HOW to paint each subject, learn the chemistry behind the products, how to mix the perfect colors that also work well together as a palette, then lay it out in a pleasing composition. Sometimes it all comes together perfectly. But wait! Now I have to learn to own a business, master marketing, sales and accounting. Next comes packing and shipping and ordering supplies. It’s a lot to learn. I really just want to create. I don’t hate all the other things that come along with being an artist. Some of it is fun and creative but I wish I could just jump to the knowing how to do it part.

I realize that there are a lot of people striving to be artist today that feel the same way. I want to help people and create a community around people who are in the same boat but I’m not an expert on anything. I can’t start a YouTube channel to show people how to do any of it. Or create tutorials on how to paint. What I can do Is share my journey and the things I learn along the way. Today, I’m excited to resume posting and, with it, bring you some of the tools and supplies that I discover as I learn and grow.

What to Expect Going Forward

As I return to posting, I plan to bring back something I did with my old blog: Amazon affiliate links to the art supplies I love. These are tools that I use regularly and wholeheartedly recommend. I hope these recommendations help you on your own creative journey, just as they’ve helped me. By purchasing through these links, you’ll be supporting this blog at no extra cost to you, which will allow me to continue sharing tips, tutorials, and inspirations.

Final Thoughts

Resuming this blog feels like coming home after a long journey. I’m excited to share my latest creations, inspirations, and insights with you. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting, I hope my recommendations help you discover tools that enhance your creative process.

Thank you for sticking with me through this journey. Let’s dive back into the world of creativity together!

Happy creating,

Christine
